Three Things

This morning's breakfast.

I found an article clipping this weekend about productivity- a subject I’m always looking for tips on. In the article it was suggested to “brain dump” all of the tasks that you need to get done that week and then before you go to bed, pick out three important tasks to get done first thing, before checking email or getting on facebook/twitter/blog readers etc. As the day goes on, you can add to your main task list, but keep is away from your three things at a time list.

I thought I’d give it a try this morning and I’m so happy that I did. 1) update client website 2) send client logo draft 3) 1 hour of cardio.

The reason why it was helpful for me is because I tend to chunk all of my tasks together and get overwhelmed. So overwhelmed that I don’t know where to start, so I piddle around all morning and get nothing done and then I feel lousy and well, you get the point.

Anyhow, I’m so glad I started the day with 43 minutes of Insanity Plyometric Cardio Circuit. It was hard and I sweated a lot, which I like. It’s also put me in the a good mood for the day and I feel less cluttered mentally. Now I just need to do this most mornings and I’ll be good to go!
